A Good Day Poem by Walterrean Salley

A Good Day

Rating: 5.0

A good day doesn’t depend
On circumstances—
Favorable or unfavorable.

The dog won’t obey.
My neighbor didn’t speak.
I can’t find my keys.
It rained all week.

But a good day depends
On one’s own attitude—
And perception of things.

It depends on one’s ability
To react to the negative
In a positive way
In taking charge
To order the day.
