A Good Night

A good night
is filled with
supportive pillows that behave
so well without a fight.
A good night
will cradle
little thoughts that do aspire
to be visions of foresight.
A good night
is gracious,
smoothing down unrumpled covers,
giving way to the light.
A good night,
a great guest,
visits many very rarely,
unaware it’s so right.
