A Handful Of Change Poem by Kim Davies

A Handful Of Change

Cross my palm with silver,
your future I'll then reveal.
I'll tell you what you want to know,
what you want to hear.
I'll gaze into my crystal ball
or trace the line across your palm.
Perhaps you prefer tea leaves?
Or a tarot card spread?
I'll see good things for you,
good fortune ahead.
Just cross my palm with silver,
a few coins, a couple of quid.

Your hearts desires,
let me see...
Ah, yes...
A very special person,
about to enter your life,
your soul-mate you are soon to meet.
I see overseas travel,
connections abroad,
But wait..... a fork in the road;
There's a difficult decision ahead,
tho' no cause for concern,
you'll make the choice that is right,
right for you, a positive turn.
A large sum of money,
you are soon to receive.
(always a favourite - so eager to believe) .
I see success at work,
a better job... a promotion maybe,
Go with it, this career move
will make you very happy.

I think that's got it covered;
A rosy future,
a happy life,
your questions answered,
uncertainties eased.
The life you desire,
your dreams fulfilled.
All for the cost
of a couple of quid.
