A Hawk In Town Poem by Daniel Gonzalez

A Hawk In Town

Im finally leaving
This innocent haven
From a place full of doves
To a town infested with ravens
Wish i could be a hawk
To look into someones heart
With a stern gaze
A cool mind
So i wont be preyed
Fly across the skies
With great grace
The wind
The sun
The clouds
My best friends
Hear me out
Theres a hawk in town
Get in my way
And youll be swooped away
