A Heartfelt Prayer Poem by Vasanthi Papu

A Heartfelt Prayer

O Lord! My Heavenly Father! It’s me again;
Who invoke you for some great gain.
Here I place a mammoth plea for my mate,
Shower your blessings and alter her fate.

The hurdles she faces are hard to bear,
Your silence all these days though not fair.
Nothing good happens is her constant cry,
Words seem scarce to wipe her tears dry,

Like a summer tempest comes now an offer,
To lift her hopes and set things proper.
O Lord! Embrace her with your tender grace,
Touch her with a magic wand to win the race.

Let all the barriers and thorns be parted,
And life’s pretty, velvet roses be granted.
Kindly lead her way with your eternal light,
And lift her to reach magnificent height.

O Lord! My Lord! Grant her the best of all,
This is my earnest prayer for my beloved pal.
Let her life be perfect with no marks of stain.
O Lord! My Heavenly Father! It’s me again.
