A Hug In The Car Poem by Wael Karameh

A Hug In The Car

Rating: 2.8

Should I apologize for hugging you last night?
Did I break the golden rule of the first date?
In my early adolescent years,
My naughty peers advised me
To be careful, to behave right …
“In the first encounter with a girl,
Don’t touch her and make sure not to come late”…
Sorry for that hug but I couldn’t avoid it! ! !
After all those years, it seems that I was trapped
In the hand of love from the first sight! ! !

As if I finally find after a long trip of search
My lovely wonderful romantic soul mate…
As if I couldn’t resist your magic attraction
And I lost with my mind that logic fight…
Maybe it was meant to be our real fate
To meet with each other in the elevator by chance
And to hug you later inside my car so early, so tight! ! !

Please Babe…Don’t blame me for that simple hug
And try not to count on how fast was its rate…
I simply couldn’t control my great sincere feeling
In true love, I think the effect of time is so light….
So call me again and cross that illusive gate tonight
Love should be our long life title…
And in the dark our only light! ! !
