A hushed whisper beckons

  Is silence your chosen weapon
To avoid expectations
Or is it your shield, guarding against
What may pass from your lips

Is distance your chosen gadget
To engineer escape, into your space
Or do you choose to use
This time, to prepare

Silent spaces are useful
Between torrential flows
But now and then, a hushed whisper
Indicates, signs of life and the living
