A Kiss In Memory Poem by Ruben Tover

A Kiss In Memory

We were young at the twelve year age,
You had the crush, my head was in the clouds.
Hands of time have turned the page,
We blinked our eye,
Twenty years fly bye.
We danced, we laughed, a whispered word.
My thoughts of us were so absurd.
You have a life, I had to swerve.
You touched my heart, my central nerve.
You have lived your years,
I have lived my too.
Some happy tears, some crying fears.
A Kiss in Memory,
A gift to you from me.
