A Knight's Tale
A lonely knight lingers by the river Lough Ree in the forest green,
Awaiting on his beauty fair, who is yet unseen;
When he finds himself alone, he ponders why love has eluded him this way,
Weary & sad.....he knows now she has gone astray;
And that his heart will remain again to bleed,
Yet he's somewhat comforted by his faithful white, steed,
So tired of this solitary existence, he leaves to find his home;
While the silvery moon lights his way...it seems he's always left to roam,
Journeying forward he still hopes for some sunshine in his life tomorrow;
That would ease this aching pain today in his soul of sorrows.
