A Ladder Descends From The Sky Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

A Ladder Descends From The Sky

a ladder descends from the sky
the hands of my head reach out
my face drifts off into a floating plate
bursting as it becomes one with the sun
the tree reaches out for me to hold
into the skies I conquer with folly
rip this flesh you’ll see my words
engraved, bleeding of stories to tell
I wish to fall from the sky
just to find my way back
into the arms of the galaxy
perusing me with its fluid waves
the universe dances in a splash of hue
shoot me if you will but
I’ve balloons strapped on my back
