You're a flower of the morning, that blossoms in my arms
You're a fire in the evening, that brings me life and warmth
You're the reason for my laughter even when I'm feeling down
And you're all the things I'm after that makes my would go round

When my heart is feeling empty and my rope has reached the end
You provide the hope I'm needing and the will to try again
If a crisis comes tomorrow you'll be standing by my side
To erase the hurt and sorrow and make everything alright

Your sweet voice is like a whisper, how it comforts me inside
When I go to work I miss you, I keep thinking of your smile
In your eyes I see the wisdom, that you gathered through the years
In your arms I feel so safe, and protected from my fears

A lady like you, you're a gentle falling rain
You have given me life again, you believe in me all the way
A lady like you, you taught me to be strong and you right me when I'm wrong
