A Lady Of Dreams Poem by Tomás Ó Cárthaigh

A Lady Of Dreams

Rating: 5.0

A lady of dreams
Floats on the waves of slumbers deep
And stares, a look that looks through the soul
Of him who is asleep

An image lost on waking
As the minds Inner Eye now blind
Dancing memories of a vision
That cross the now awoken mind

The light of the morning sun that shines
Blinding to the minds sleeping Inner Eye
Its strange that the image when sleeping seen
Is lost when slumbers dreams fly.

They are two different worlds and, can only be felt as such! but like Tai says...some dreams will transcend. Beautiful work Tomas! You capture our dreams in a delicate silken net. As it should be. Smiling at you Tai
