A Letter.....For Mary - Poem by James B. Earley

There's an old road
.........Winding
Along the stream
............Meandering

Romance.. .of a train
...From God knows where
Echoed............sounds
............ ......Rumbling

Walking...the hills
.......Thinking....
Of the joy..those sounds
....Are bringing

Memories...welcome
....The child again
........She's the treasure
.............Of Jamieson....Canyon

Authors note:
Dedicated to the memory of...Mary Azevedo....and....to her earthly home...Jamieson Canyon.

Something about this poem touched me.

    On roads long and winding
We have traveled to the sunset calm
And now our knees are aching
With no one to lend the healing balm.......

Good poem Sir and I welcome you to my page too (Report) Reply
