A Letter To Brody Poem by Linda Barnes

A Letter To Brody

Rating: 3.5

I waited so long
To hold you in my arms
Even not knowing
Whether you were a boy or girl

It never mattered to me
As I just needed to see
What a beautiful person
You would definitely be

When I first saw you
My eyes filled with tears
For you are my Grandson
So perfect and beyond my dreams

Now you are growing
As fast as can be
Much too quickly for Mimi
Just slow down, please

I want to always be here
Just help to guide you through
With all that you will accomplish
Throughout your growing years

Your life holds such promise
Filled with amazing things
There will be bumps in the road
But, Mimi will always be near

Thank you for being my Grandson
So much love and joy you gave to me
You made my life worth living
Love you always, Mimi
