A Letter To Myself Poem by Serwaah Debrah

A Letter To Myself

Every day is an experience on its own. Face each day with an open mind and indulge in every experience. The ups and downs remove monotony. Think of life as your own movie where you are the star.

Things will not always be as you want or plan for. What is your biggest fear? That you will fail? If the worst case scenario occurs you will deal with it. You have that strength in you. Do not be preoccupied with what people think about your situation. Everyone has their own demons.

Be good to yourself, self love will only make you lonely. Humans are not perfect; they will hurt your feelings and betray you repeatedly. Yet do not let that hinder loving everyone as you love yourself. Treat people with kindness and love, expecting nothing in return. The act alone is food for the soul and will make you smile.

Dear one, do not be afraid! Forget the norms, the deadlines and the expectations. As long as you don’t go against your countries laws, live a FREE life. Remove the chains of self predictions of dome. Open yourself to life.

Make friends! Make room in your life to help others. Do not fear poverty, greatness is not in wealth but in a positive attitude in every situation. Love your fellow man and yourself. Let religion be your foundation built on the most important message, LOVE!
