A Letter To You Poem by Adedolapo Olisa

A Letter To You

Stay in there
Don't concede
It is only a temptation
and it will pass by

Stay in there
It is stronger than the force of sleep
I know, but I also know what is in the pit
departing to taste the juice of death
It is not worth it

Stay alive
Stay in the life the blood has given
remember that to yield is to die
and to begin again
sometimes, to remain in the jaws of death

Stay in there
these trees you see
though green are only for waiting and landing
there is no solace in them
Stick to the shade of daddy
It is not worth it

Stay in there
in the territory of love and protection
I know you have reasons, feelings that seem worth the try
but there is none enough to match grieving our father
or even cutting off the sweet relationship with daddy

Stay at home
the prodigal gave it a try
Oh! regret is not accurate
He pleaded to be a slave
He ate like a swine
this and more the try brings
You may think injuries will heal but scars won't

The one hiding
singing the song you want to listen to
is not indifferent to your adventure
he is your enemy seeking to devour you
I know this because I have been there

Please, stay in JOY
Where you wish to be does not produce happy moods
The best you can harvest from it is pleasure
and that will fade as long as it is bade farewell

Stay
Stick with the book
God is the cook
eat his food and rest in his bosom
Tear apart the truth in the Bible
stick to renewing and knowing more
Never let go
Pray today, tomorrow
morning, afternoon
grief your enemy
refuse to give reasons to make him smile
Don't be a fish that loves the bait
be one that hates it
If hunger seems prolonged WAIT
Delicious and nutritious meals take a longer time

Stay
Hang in there
Wait
Endure lust till it is lost
Don't race evil in his territory
it will catch you
Stay
Jesus loves you.
and I do too
