A Lie

So I cannot watch,
they forced me,
to change topic,
every time it veers to you.

You told me your distress,
so much for telling a lie so much longer,
difficult so difficult a billion difficult-fold.

Then a lie consuming us this unhappy life of ours?

A lie? Pray, a lie?
