A Light In The Dark

A light in the dark
Safety from shadows
Fiends stand stark in the light

A light in the dark
A shot?
Always darkness
Forever fear

A light in the dark
Humanities savior
Death its neighbor

A light in the dark
No more light
On the run
In the darkness lost forever

Found a new light
All is alright
Until fiends come again

A light in the dark
No will
No strength
Only fear for survival
Accompanied by blissful madness

But don't give in
Have hope
Don't succumb, don't become
For there is...
A Light in the Dark

I

Our life is twofold; Sleep hath its own world,
A boundary between the things misnamed
Death and existence: Sleep hath its own world,
