A Little Care
A little care or tenderness
Would help a day go by,
For the old or weak who don`t complain
(Maybe some just sit and cry) .
Who spend their days in loneliness
Often in one room,
Expecting nothing from the world at large
While they exist in their twilight gloom.
So sad even one life is left lingering
When a kind word could make it shine,
Bringing comfort to a lonely person
Who otherwise would sit and pine.
I`ll try to redeem myself tomorrow
Is all that I can say,
But I should have taken at least a smile
To a lonely soul today.

Only an amazing empathetic mind can conceive of this -Little Care- Let us think of the lonely souls and at least smile! Nice write.
A little care can make a huge difference.
Wonderful poem, Heather.
I love the message to the world.
It is something so important and if just many people would heed your message, the world may change for the better.
Really inspiring
This poem is too sad, particularly when a person stays in a room alone..the feelings of lonely hearts are very sadly expressed!
A lovely piece, even to consider those with not much to look forward to shows much compassion...tyvm karen

Sadly there is a lot of people who don't have anybody to be there for them, they sometimes
get lost in the fast world we live in. A fantastic poem.
