A Little Work To Do Poem by Herbert Hagell

A Little Work To Do

Have a little work to do on me
To build up self esteem
I feel you want to do something
Other than listen what my words bring.

You feel distant from me right now
I sense you find no happiness glow
Is it only today or forever?
Our love, distance has severed?

I want that more than any else
On your words, my heart melts
There is nowhere I'd rather me
Than to have you talk with me.

Oh yes. Now I understand
Too many thoughts my mind demands
I put you in the front of all
You feelings rush in, I applaud.

I feel you here, near my side
You've always been, I've been blind
My mind is clear, my heart is true
Nothing in the world, except me and you.
