A Lost Friend Poem by lingering stupor

A Lost Friend

Fade in black the first past now gone
Blocked in hate and disgust ways we now go alone
My inner self thought stronger than hers
No feeling she felt as if riding in a hearse

I pity her in a sense having no remorse for the past that she spent
Her sweet care no longer is it going to be bent
Her ideals may be crooked farther than mine
I wish she could change with the passing of time

Alas help her i can no longer do
Her spirit broken her aspirations twisted true
No longer she clings to her past
Gold is what she seeks that would last

I do wish i could help her more
For her heart i know has more in store
I just pray for her well being
And hopefully we meet still even if not living
