A Love That's Like No Other Poem by Holly Jamestone

A Love That's Like No Other

Though I believe in God
I feel so all alone
The one thing that eludes me
Is a man to call my own

A mate, a man, protector, friend
To be here by my side
I pray to God please send him now
And we Two will abide

Living in your sacred world
Two hearts exuding grace
Please take my hand and guide me toward
His special, calming face

A place where love is lasting
Where my heart joins another
Where He and I may then be We
A Love That’s Like No Other

I know the life you gave to me
Should be my gift to you
But I am lost and need a mate
Until my days are through

A place where love is lasting
Where my heart joins another
Where He and I may then be We
A Love That’s Like No Other

I know that you are carrying me
Your footprints in the sand
But at this moment I’m in pain
Please take me by the hand

And if I falter and come back
To hours of great despair
Hold me as I question
My Father, are you there?

Lord, come to me and lift me up
And I will walk with you
Your hand in mine, your blessed grace
Until my time is through

Please send to me an inner strength
And guide me toward my mate
A man for keeps, a lasting love
A much-desired fate

My needs are deep, my wants are true
A family through the years
Father God, please come to me
And wipe away my tears
