A Lover Knows Death Many Times Over Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

A Lover Knows Death Many Times Over

Rating: 5.0

A lover knows death many times over
They die each time they are passed over
Dreaming of a lover's touch
Passion among the cool grass and clover

Winds of change rearrange
and break a lover's heart
Fears of love leaving
and romance falling apart

The greatest fear for a lover
is to be alone and without care
to wake up and realize
there isn't anybody there

Lovers die 1000 times
But live 1000 more
as love comes and goes
Lover's don't keep score

Lover's dream non-stop
and lover's don't ask or reason why
Lovers are noted by their inner passion and try
lest they break down on bended knee and cry

Lovers always keep their care
and caring does never cease to flow
This is a lover's secret
of which you now know

Lover's die 1000 times
and each time they feel the pain
but in their lover's hearts
Love does ever remain

And if you find a lover
They might bring you joy
They might your heart entertain
But of your lover, you'll always recall their name

Lovers have a passion
built upon human understanding and compassion
They follow their own beat and don't stay with what's in fashion
When it comes to love, lovers give all and never ration

If you should find a true lover
never let them go
They'll give your heart all the love
it ever dreamed to know

A lover is not a player
and a player does never love
If you ever meet a lover
Then your heart will learn about love

If you should meet a lover
The moment you'll realize
You'll see a tinge of sadness deep
as you look into their eyes

Because lovers have died many times over
And through each broken dream that fell apart
they always dreamed of love
and know well the ache and longing of a broken heart
