A Man Poem by Dislocated Heart

A Man

Rating: 5.0

A Man of greed,
of shallow desires,
hunting on targeted prey,
could only mean selfish needs,
and slow decay.

A Man that looks upon you with eyes of desire,
is not for your mind,
nor for your soul..
but the pounds you've dropped...
to look so divine.

A Man that approaches you in happiness,
not in darkness..
does not care for your hurt,
but for his own very needs.
Selfish is he.

A Man that looks for benefits,
lies to receive.
Will speak in tongues,
to daze you in peace.

A Man like that is no man at all.
To interrupt ones happiness,
for his greater need,
is not a man at all...
I call him a child.
For he only thinks of himself.

Perhaps we are surrounded by little boys running around with 'swag'
as I approach a woman with morals..
and I could only wish she'd love me for my mind,
as I love her for everything she holds inside...
Looks are nothing.. but personality, the way you carry yourself in the darkest moments..
reinforced with action.. is the most beautiful soul of all....

I want a love... that accepts me.. for all that I am..
willing to understand my complex mind..
as I do the very same for you.. if you could,
I'd love you with the deepest part of me..
into the core of my soul.. I'll love..
If needed I'd move mountains.. travel miles..
For Love.. True Love, I'd do it all.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Swag Vs. Class.
A mature woman will clearly know which one to go with.
