A Martyr's Oath, A Lover's Quote Poem by Rhea Topacio

A Martyr's Oath, A Lover's Quote

Oh Love, if having you kills, then I'm dead
If you are a dream, then I'm asleep
If you take forever, I'd rather take eternity
But if you shall stay for awhile, at least make me breathe.

Oh beloved, I shall love you once, twice, thrice 'till I'm tired
I shall let you be, for as long as it makes you happy
If there's a heart to be broken, let it be mine
For I'd rather give the tears than see you crying.

I'll only be here, a couple of times in your life
Making your life worth living or even just to make you smile
Will give you all that's good for you and I'll be there for you
Through the harshness of the wind 'till the sun rises up again.

When the time comes that I have to leave, always remember this
You had me once, twice, thrice and now I'm tired..
I'll try not to go back..Oh how I wish that can be
I shall set you free, for you live happier without me.
