A Million Little Lies Poem by Samantha Ashley

A Million Little Lies

Rating: 3.8

Don’t believe the truth.
Tell me what I wanna hear.
Tell me a million little lies.
Come closer, whisper them in my ear.

Blind me with persuasion, with a gleam of your Cheshire cat smile.
Give me deceit.
I know it’s all wrong but you make it sound so sweet.

Forget the truth, that’s not what I wanna hear.
Tell me a million little lies.
Get closer, whisper them in my ear.

Thorw away my conscience.
Say something untrue.
Say anything and I’ll believe it because I want to believe in you.

Don’t speak the truth.
Say only what I want to hear.
Tell me a million little lies.
Move closer, whisper them in my ear.

Very nice Samantha, and I'm not lieing, The repetive line 'Move closer, whisper them in my ear' make this piece flow very well. Some poets tend to get hung on one line poems such as these and they dont really make any sense, But you have constructed this one perfectly. Thank you so much for shareing it with us.
