A Million Miles Poem by CHARMAINE SIMPSON

A Million Miles

Thoughts racing a million miles a second
The focus is locked onto one thing
There is no need to say who - why - or what
Because in my mind I keep a secret place
This is my dreamscape existing only for me
Safe images can rest here for my pleasure
It is here I can see - dream - wish and play
So far what I see has captured my vision
What I have dreamt has me not wanting to wake
The wishes are made of perfect endings
Filled with smiles and laughter of playful fun
Capture this entire picture in the real world
Are these precious thoughts to remain locked?
As always destiny will run its planned course
And what follows remains unknown
