A Missed Opportunity Poem by Giovanna Marasco

A Missed Opportunity

Rating: 5.0

His eyes cry out
Like no other.
I want to help him,
But when I try
I find that over time,
I have restricted the flow
Of blood to my heart.

Like a stone within me
It weighs me down
Dragging me into depths
Unlike any that I have ever known
I call out to him
But its too late,
Our ways were parted
Long ago.

I think I know what you mean. Sometimes...no matter how much you long to help someone...you just can't. Very soul rending poem. Nice Hugs, Dee
