A Moment Of Thought Poem by Sans Serif

A Moment Of Thought

Rating: 2.8

I stand alone
Before Twilight,
That moment between
Both day and night.
The way things look,
So magical
The beauty and splendor
Of this world.
The way things look
Of pure desire
Nature Calls
My thoughts inspire,
The words spill forth
From minds deep slumber,
They awe my soul,
My mind's in wonder.
Trees and grass
All seem more green
And all the world
Seems more Serene.
The limbs sway around
In a soft Spring breeze,
In nature's garden
My mind will ease.
I see things more
For what they should
Be. Peaceful, calm
If only it could.
For human actions
They interfere
And all is abash
At what it hears.
The sounds of work
Man-made machinery.
A barren land
Once quaint a scenery
Of reminisce
And year-old splendor
That had at once
Made hearts so tender.
'Where will it go? '
The thought I fear
When nothing, one day,
You will find here,
But dying stumps
And disturbed earth
It never was
In it's great birth.
