A More And More Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A More And More

Rating: 3.5

have decided to collect more and more
no stone to be left unturned to explore
when I have collected enough to sleep and snore
I shall by happy to enjoy it at shore

This is what I aim for
I don't know what is in store
So much pain and agony I have bore
I shall enough of it therefore

I know there is no end to lust or thrust
some amount of money is definitely needed or must
people look at you withs cant respect
this is one of the most dreaded fact

It is morally wrong to assume
money is not needed by all but some
it has become damn necessity to survive
without it not a single minute we can live

It may be little funny or more to run after
the craziness or tendency may lead to laughter
still it is naked truth and must be accepted
life without it has no meaning and simply rejected

I want honorable and descent way of living
simplicity and truthfulness all I am believing
the poverty does not help to reduce the burden
the ups and down may come in life all of sudden

It may be futile to ignore the simple facts
it needs wisdom and vision to tackle it with tact
You can feel better even without anything
still it is needed to survive for something

The fortune does not come that easily
you have to die for each and single penny
it is always source of worry and agony
to earn with right means is even thorny

Either you get it by hook or crook means
it may swing either way to bring defeat or win
the money power is considered as formidable
the enough of it may make him wise and capable

No one has disputed so far the mad race
why people die out for it and violently face?
even strangulating others to death for paltry sum
still prefer ignore it and keep mum

Ask the person who has nothing to care
still he may long for it from somewhere
it may his wish to do or die for last drop
but it may not altogether come to a stop

It is divine power for others on earth
they may cause murder or even death
it may still not crunch their thrust
as they have lost complete trust

The material happiness can not precede
At the end only noble things may succeed
It may be too late to realize the situation
still it may go on with its continuation

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Mehta Hasmukh Amathalal 29 September 2011

You have highlighted the dilemma of we humans trying to live and live together, ideally with some degree of reasonableness and consideration of others. We are the imperfect ones and so it will continue. There is not enough wisdom and kowledge is not virtue. on More and more From Ben Gieske 29 Sep
