A Mother Poem by Bob Blackwell

A Mother

Rating: 4.4

Although
worry numbs
her heart,
she’ll not
complain
as she helps
dear ones
recover,
from their
hurts.

Smiling
she
always
hides her
pain.

Though
stressed,
she’ll hum
a lullaby,
a hymn of hope,
as she waits for
dawns fresh
gleam of light
to rise, to clear
away the darkest
shadows of
her night.

Beautiful tribute and definition of a Mother- her love unconditional, with shoulders strong she will carry the Load and will always have a hug within her arms -.

What pleasure there is for a mom to give all to her young.

How true, after the darkest hours come the dawn, and mother's unconditional love, helps us to pull through those 'dark hours' of our life! A great tribute! 10 + -Raj Nandy

Yes.. sir.. you said it well indeed... I read this one and thought of my mother.. This is just a part of the poem which I wrote for my mom.... 'My mother the Aphrodite, Turned to a captivating goddess of love and passion The Immortal Everlasting, Perpetual light of my life She drove the Black Pearl To the world’s end, to the hell Then to heaven........... ..................... ............... With out her I m nothing.. She went through all sorts of trouble too, very strong, loving, admirable as ever, she has forgiven me for every nasty thing I v done..... These days I see lots of strong angelic female personalities, yet it is hard to find such male figures.... Lord Buddha said, treat your mother as a god, she is the lord in your house hold........ If you want some one to worship, worship her, that's what he taught us... .... and sir, My dear friend Bob Blackwell, defined the term of mother in most poetic and beautiful manner indeed! ! ! nice sir.. / you know I wrote poem for my amma(mom) , even tears come, .. good sir.. with love shan

I loved the way you portrayed 'mother' Bob. It makes me think of my own mother, self sacrificing and big hearted. Ruthie
