A Mother’s Love Poem by Eric Joseph Lopez

A Mother’s Love

Rating: 5.0

Like a rose in the garden, her soul slowly withering away
She sits and stare’s at her dead son picture everyday
Thinking of all the memories that they had together
She sits there just hoping for something better

Life goes on but not for her
She was there when he went down under
Looking at him while she tried her best
The current was strong so it had done the rest

Oh how she cried and cried
Why did you have to take my son, God tell me why
Days and days months and months goes by
Yet people could still hear her cries

Now she cries no more, silence.....
A soul that cannot cry, is a soul that is waiting to die
Oh how she love her son so much
Thinking of nothing more but of his touch

Remembering their time together
When he made his first step, she laugh and smile
When he cried at night she comes running by his side
She use to tell people of how much she love him
Of all the hope’s and dreams that she has for him

Now feeling guilty that she took him that day
She wish that she could take it back
So all the pain can go away
Her love for her son has left her heart broken and now unspoken
So she sits there waiting and hoping that someday she will see him again
