A Myopic View Of Gwendolyn Poem by Gwendolyn Miller

A Myopic View Of Gwendolyn

I am a person with strong ambition.
I am a stream in the wilderness pursuing the ultimate ocean.
I am someone who is always trying to see only the good in people.
I am of purpose,
I am of divine destiny,
I am a daughter of inheritance.
I am aware of the future.
I am determined to achieve goals that I have set.
I am magical within walls of stone.
I am a palette of colors splashing themselves upon canvas.
I am a paraglider floating in the wind discovering the way of life.
I am the sunset that shines above all.
I am the owner of stories told by shoes that fit my feet.
I am the abstract picture that attracts endless stares of curiosity.
I am a girl who dares to be different.
I am the book who sits on a shelf unread,
I am the shirt that only gets tried on but never worn but,
I am confident throughout it all.

You see I am alive, I am alive.
I stand in good relation to the truths of the world.
I stand in good relation to my family.
I stand in good relation to the rights of the people.
I stand in good relation to liberty.
You see I am alive, I am alive.
