A Mystery Poem by Kavya .

A Mystery

Rating: 5.0

You gave me a special place
in your heart,
And left me alone like a vagabond
in search of a hut.

In my gloomy days
you led me to the sunshine,
But shrugged me off midway
saying you are not mine.

You drowned me in your sugary words
expressed fondness for me,
and one fine day you said
you have lost interest in me.

I failed to understand
the reason for your change,
but I would always be grateful to you
for the happy times we spent

May only true love flourish in the world I pray
To false love let not anyone fall prey!

Way to be resilient and kind in the face of mysterious rejection!

That's why we say falling in love is a daring adventure. Rarely one can get out of it unscathed! Fortunately a few such fascinations... rather infatuations mature into a life long relationship! I can feel the dejection of the protagonist, but the concluding lines show that she is healed of the hurt! A touching poem Kavya!

How we have to just go with our heart. We can sometime fall and be hurt when we least expect it. Heartfelt words expressed. Thank you

The reader can feel the pain. I think the last two lines are very intriguing and thought provoking. In my own concept, the infatuation of falling in love, can be amazing and overwhelmingly beautiful But it remains an infatuation. It remains a kind of falling. it is a feeling that comes, that falls on us and sometimes falls out of us as well. When it comes it feels true. I think most people who decide to commit to a long term relationship tend to fall at one or the other time out of love. These are critical times for any relationship and if the commitment is really high, quite often people manage to replace the IN love with a different level of love, which is more of a verb. IN love is a feeling followed by action. The love without IN is more an action followed by feeling. It can be heart breaking if the commitment of one partner is not big enough to let the relation survive. We move though a very difficult period, but int he long run almost always these things were meant to take place for something far better. I am sorry for the relatively cool and rational thoughts I shared here but that was what boiled up in mind after reading your beautiful poem. I pray for your strength and a future full of beauty.
