A Noisy Donegal Night Poem by Joe Hughes

A Noisy Donegal Night

Rating: 5.0

It's noisy here tonight,
The thud of darkness descending,
The searing of grass growing,
Banshees making merry.

It's noisy here tonight,
The snoring of birds sleeping,
Dry rivers running, snow settling,
Donegal being bohemian.

It's noisy here tonight,
The moans of mountains moving,
The piercing of moths staring,
Carless roads leading me to the coast.

So well written. Your words, the imagery, the energy is so real that I feel like I'm there.
