A Noisy Earth Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

A Noisy Earth

Noisy earth till nearly mid night
Carries me to an aimless fight
Unreached hope in head weight
Puts down and thinks for light

Forgotten, promised things come first
Regret alone since it has not doubt
Voice of mind would claim for right
Think of future in the rest of night

Same thing turns up in a vicious circle
Plan for a break up and see whether able
Attempt to jump from the life of cable
Sharply tightens by the time of table

The great noise my ears are given
Intolerable heart bear it no reason
The system forcibly I was taken
Time to keep it away at the dawn
