A Pause Poem by Ananda Krishnan

A Pause

Rating: 5.0

In the instant throbbing between
Eternity and this moment,
A frozen fragment of time,
Breathes past and future.
One more summer went by
But before leaving, she taught me endurance.
This monsoon, the rain braved to step out of heaven
To fall into the hands of the Earth.
Their affair flooded with passion
that the spring drowned in it.
And this fall, was the time for us to rise.
There weren't much leaves to fall,
Yet those that fell whispered resilience.
This Winter, ruminating on the ruins,
A fearless heart has learnt to forgive,
Embracing the glorious grace of gratitude
It is ready to fly high.
