A Peek Into Yesterday Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Peek Into Yesterday

Rating: 2.0

Wintertime always brings back
Memories of Christmas day
Family opening presents
Ah yes, a peek into yesterday

Grandma and grandpa were with us
The years certainly do pile on
We were much younger back then
Singing those Christmas songs

We gathered for many occasions
With our family and friends alike
Snapshots to capture the moment
Make everything perfect and right

Smile for the camera children
Give grandma and grandpa a hug
Yes, I smile when I see those photos
Kinda gives my heart a little tug

Smiling sweet faces of happiness
Captured forever in this special way
I’ll treasure them all forever
As I enjoy a peek into yesterday!
