A Perfect Dream Poem by Crystal Johnson

A Perfect Dream

Rating: 5.0

Last night I had a dream of you
We were walking down a beach
Everything felt so perfect
My life just felt complete.

We watched the sunset come and go
We watched the morning rise
I'll never forget the way I felt
When you looked into my eyes.

You touched my face so gently
And leaned in very close
My breathing increased rapidly
My heartbeat fell and rose.

Your kiss was filled with passion
Of which I never knew
At the time I thought that this
Was indeed a dream come true.

But as you know, soon dreams will fade
And you're back to what you've been
You're left with that empty feeling
That is, until you dream again.

So tonight will you please think of me
As you start to fall asleep
Because I know we'll be together
Even if it's in our dreams.

It spoke so clearly to my heart, for it touched very close to home.

Oh Crystal, Your poetic talent is glowing brightly as your words of passion reach out and gently touch your reading audience with the warmness within your heart. Yes, even dreams can be a bit of reality as many times they are real as we feel the emotional impact they have on us and provide us with a vision to be captured within our minds eye. You have painted a very beautiful dream which I hope comes true for you. Thank You for sharing a little of yourself and for giving us all a small part of your creative personality through your passion of poetry. Your Friend, Mickey Pig Knuckles :)
