A Place I Have Not Been
Confused, was it me?
Misused, aloof I shall remain
Alone, I am not! Secluded?
Synonyms, how you spew
For my thoughts are enough
Of an excuse to keep me
Far away from you
Betrayal? Perhaps, it was so
Words from my mouth crumble
A scarring remembrance
A lie! It was something
I never truly knew
Attraction? Sexual tension
Can be so delicious
One sided, forever divided
A burn that feels too good
Love? Who are you to say?
A word you have not heard
A place I have not been
That memory, long forgotten
For it was never truly there

your thoughts are enough to keep away from them.... oh, yes, I know this feeling. I am trying to stay away from a man myself because my thoughts are betraying my heart. O yes, this poem is fantastic, beautiful.
