A Pleasant Change Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Pleasant Change

I am glad that things are going much better
Life is now a treat for you instead of the other
You found a friend who has become your lover
He moved in and causes no pain whatsoever

When you are weary from a long day at work
He cooks you dinner that you eat with a divine fork
No more eating meals from the drive-thru all alone
You now have a brighter view and even sing a song

I am happy for your new outlook with positive energy
No longer do I dread seeing your name upon the caller ID
When you call the conversation is as pleasant as can be
Most of all…your change of fate has made a happier me
