A Poem For A Rose Ii Poem by Ell Ell

A Poem For A Rose Ii

Rosy, honourable;
delightful in the glow
of summer's light.
Snow or wind cannot harm you,
nor the claws of the old greybird
sting you.

Calm, seductive;
sharp spine curved
within the crystal liquid,
Your scent enough to lovers,
or maybe the green of the quiet
meadows;

or maybe the nose of the old greybird;
whose claws or break cannot sting.
