A Poem For The Sea Poem by Dale Barnes

A Poem For The Sea

Rating: 5.0

I felt the flowering mirage of your longing…

It was then…when we were about the Sea.

Surf swayed emotions, Sand…Immaculate.

Dog-Dayed Afternoons. Harbor Twighlights.

Moonlit Wonderment: We Kissed. We Eyed.

No light could ever make Us say Goodbye.

Rumors of Inception: Rules of Perception,

Our feet wandered the Tides…Ebb and Flow.

A Touch…A Glance…An Ocean Feared…

We Swayed Seaward In the Sands of Earnest.

Our Eyes…Our Hands…Your Eyes…

As Oceans of Tears Crowded Our Sky's.

I laid Succumb to your will and your want,

The ebb and flow of whatever was ever waning.

We sat sullen and loving in a Moon… of Gold,

On a Sea of whatever wanting Was…
