A poem for you.
It is for me to write.
On such a beautiful night.
I hope My words don't send you to smite.
When I woke up this day.
I wrote a poem so sweet.
For you I say.
With tears in my eyes and love on my side my words did play.
Into your heart I did smile.
Writing verses for you.
My poor heart cried for awhile.
It was about things that we shout.
And the burdens we bear.
Things that make most men pout.
Yet I sat in the evening so fair.
Alone in my chair.
And wrote a poem we could share.
And into the night.
I did write.
Into my sleep the poem did come.
I was with you.
And you with me.
And my poem is done.
