A Poem Is Born (Abridged)
Words drum a rising tempo
synchronized, a million neurons
Pulsate, abuzz like a beehive disturbed
Tepid waves lapping a river bank, meditate
awaiting release of water upstream - a roar
announces an incoming tsunami - a poem is born.
