A Poet's Curse Poem by Kim Schilling

A Poet's Curse

Rating: 5.0

See
deeply
into the
core of writers
so true to themselves
undaunted to make known
they bear their hearts openly
with bravery and hope for break
and willingly pen their darkest pains
pulling from the depth of madness within
knowing they make vulnerable their souls
to predators in search of swift feasts
made easy by open flesh wounds
bitter smell of truthfulness
a trusting writer’s curse
doesn’t have to be
but the writing
so defines
poets
see?

Kim II, I see Sandra Fowler is reading you also - a true tribute to your powers. You just don't get read by someone like Sandra if you don't have something special going for you. I suspect I will be reading you quite a bit even if I do not comment every time. Blessings to your ministry and courage. Rev. Bill Grace

masterpiece! I like the words, they bear their hearts openly, with bravery and hope for break. dear, Kim, you open the poem with see...and close it with see...and the format, it's one of the most genius I ever saw so far. a brilliant pyramid-like poem, a magic triangle ! ! ! could you read and comment on my new poems too? Thank you.

twenty bars, the peak 'within souls' wrap by verbs, 'see poets see' underneath the wrap is 'core of writers so defines' genius creation, wow... that's how i see.
