A Poet's Dilemma Poem by Wyndon Villafuerte

A Poet's Dilemma

Can't seem to enjoy the things I do
And yet I continue to write verses for you
I write, and I write, and write till the pain goes away
Going to write long enough till I see you someday
I've stayed up all night, trying to find the right words to say
My mind grows weary as time dwindles away
I can't help it for this is how I cope
Though with this pain I feel, I mustn't lose hope
I must carry on; resume my life the way it was
I'll count my blessings, and above all I'll continue writing 'cause
I care too much about you, just so you know
Even in your absence, this love-I promise to not let go
