anger, expressed honestly and openly may lead to its quick dissipation. (disappearance) But anger sublimated, hidden carefully or unconsciously from oneself or others may become a poison to the bearer of the anger as well as the object of one's anger. (taking a sadistic delight in the demise of the other poisons one's self or character) (Report) Reply

Pungent poetry, There is a strong message in this poem.....You will be ashamed one day that why you held it for so long when it was easy to let it go.......You nurtured it with care and cry and finally you burned all energy for nothing.......I read it when in school and it reminded me my childhood days. One of the most memorable and powerful poems of all times, who can ever forgot this one? When the night had veiled the pole is a line I had difficulty in fully understanding in the past but I've just realised it may be a reference to the night disguising the guiding light of the North Star (a personification of the night) . Each line in this poem is so densely concentrated with meaning and with such moral impact. Lucky is the one who is informed of the poet's wrath and anger! He won't be found outstretched under the tree in the morning! (Report) Reply
