A Preface To My Autobiography Poem by Valsa George

A Preface To My Autobiography

Rating: 5.0

I have emptied my heart into these pages
My pen has bled words in red
You can look straight into me
I have painted me as I am
Honest and truthful

I don't want to be a sham
Here have I laid bare my life
Fraught with aches, dotted with smiles
My longings and my heart aches
My expectations, my disappointments
My triumphs, my defeats
My search through every nook n' cranny for success
My plunge into the nadir of despair on defeat
My moments of escalating joy
My dark hours of crippling distress
Everything I wanted to be
Everything I failed to be
Please have a peek into it
Read this candid chronicle of my life
And tell me if my soul is black or white

A woman of substance who has seen it all, yet with much humility to moderate her success. Kudos Prof! May Almighty God continue to protect you in the safety of HIS PRESENCE. Always remain blessed. Thanks a million times for your appraisal of my poem THE PHOENIX STRANGLER.

A poetess of your calibre and sincerity has not only a white soul but also a bright and illuminating one too. An aptly penned preface to your autobiography. Enjoyed it thoroughly.10 /10

like Akhtar, i was tending to think pink. but i think most souls, whatever that means, are shades of gray, though some are almost black (though i don't like the use of black to indicate bad) and some are almost white (though i don't like the use of white to indicate good) . i'm looking forward to more. give us MORE. i want to hear about the dirt in your life, as well as the pureness, if there is any. bri :) :) :) p.s. don't forget to include the remodeling.

A poignant write, mam. Pouring out all that you have into those pages shows that your soul is white and poetry comes out from your heart. if my soul is black or white? I think this is one question that we all must ask ourselves and try to know what we really are and where we stand. Beautiful write.
