A Pretty Lady Poem by Grace Hays

there is a pretty lady that i work with
who is such a good friend
that i just had to write
a little something bout how pretty she is
as she comes into the cafeteria each day that i work
i can't help but say
'hey there's that pretty lady'
and she just smiles
i can't help it when i say it
for she is such a nice lady
that i want to make her day
so if you ever see my friend
be sure to say this to her
'how are you today pretty lady'
and wait for that smile to light up her face
for though she says she's not
she is a pretty lady
